Macy Guy Obituary

Mrs. Macy Adell Eaddy Guy, age 93, of Blackshear, passed away Sunday morning (1/18/2026) at her residence following an extended illness.

Born May 4, 1932, in Kingstree, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Willard and Carrie Norton Eaddy. She grew up in South Carolina and moved to Brantley County before living most of her life in Waycross. She had worked as a CNA at Baptist Village, at King Edwards Cigar Factory, and Reuben Brothers Shoe Factory and was of the Pentecostal faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Guy; 3 daughters, Joyce Ann Hendrix, Debra Lucille Guy Sasser, and Janice Elaine Cribbs; a son, Robert Leroy Guy; 4 sisters, Eula Chalk, Ruth Parker, Nell Morris, and Myrtis Hanna; and 2 brothers, Junior Eaddy and Goldwyn Eaddy.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna Ruth Hendrix (husband Alex) of Waycross, son, Benjamin Willard Guy, Sr. (wife Patty) of Blackshear. 2 sisters Myra Smith of Thomaston, GA and Juanita Epps of Kingstree, S.C.; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A graveside funeral service will take place Tuesday morning (1/20/2026) at 11 a.m. at Thomas Cemetery in Waycross.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery one hour prior to the service.
